Eilat, accustomed to hosting a variety of European and World championships, will host the closing Giro d'Italia event. Giro d'Italia, known as one of the world's largest cycling events, will be held this year in Israel, with 176 cyclists, who will ride throughout Jerusalem, Haifa, Tel Aviv, Be'er Sheva and finish the competition in Eilat on Sunday 6th of May.
The event will be watched by over 800 million across the world in real time, via a live broadcast from two helicopters that will circulate and broadcast the race and the city of Eilat from a bird's-eye view.

Roads will close according to the cycling race route as follows:
Between 16: 30-19: 30 the roads will close from the roundabout at the city's entrance as far as the roundabout before the navy base, where cyclists will make a U-turn, and at the central roundabout near the tourist centre, will turn right and cycle along the route that leads to the Red Complex, where the race will end.
Between 17:00 - 18:30, pedestrians will not be able to cross the competition route.
Between 15:00 - 19:30, Route 90 will be closed to traffic north of Toronto Square (the roundabout at the entrance to the city).
Visitors who need to access and exit hotels located along the southern coastline Please note that Route 90 will be closed to traffic from the roundabout before the navy base to the Dolphin Reef roundabout (Derech Mitzrayim), please use the Nahal Shlomo bypass.
Durban Street, parallel to the airport, will be closed to traffic from Kampen / Durban roundabout to Durban / Derech Yotam roundabout.
Yotam Street will be closed to traffic from Durban / Derech Yotam roundabout, please drive via Topaz Street.
Route 90 will not be accessible via Sheshet Ha'Yamim Blvd. to Toronto Square roundabout, at the city's entrance.
Ha'Tamarim Boulevard to Route 90 will be closed to traffic, blocked via Binyamin Street. Ha'Melacha Street to Route 90 will be closed to traffic blocked via Ha'Napach \ Ha'Tushiya Street.
There will be no access to Highway 90 via Shechoret Industrial Zone, please use the Sheshet Ha'Yamim bypass.
On this date between 06: 00-20:30 Kamen Street will be closed to traffic from the Kaman / Durban junction to the Kaman / Erika intersection including the RED Complex parking lot.


Visitors who need to exit hotels located along the north coastline
Please drive via Pistiani Street to Kampen Street, and turn north via the airport bypass. This route will only open to traffic after the last competitors have passed through Toronto Square and according to police instructions only.
Open roads and bypass roads during the race
Accessible roads in accordance with Israel Police instructions and race routes: Nahal Shlomo bypass, in proximity of the Camel Ranch allowing traffic to merge via Road 12. Sheshet Ha'Yamim bypass route leads to Kibbutz Eilot and Shechoret Industrial Zone.




Open and circumferential hinges during the race:
The route of the roads according to the directives of the Israel Police and in accordance with the coordinated routes: "Nahal Shlomo bypass - camel farm" - this route will enable a ride along the Nahal Shlomo bypass road until merging with Highway 12. "The Six Day Outpass" - this road leads to Kibbutz Eilot .
