The Bird Watching Park in Eilat is the main resting point of over than a billion birds migrating between Asia, Europe and Africa. It is a unique natural phenomenon which provides an opportunity to watch the birds from a special hiding place. In the fall the birds arrive from the north and get ready to cross Africa’s desert, in the spring they arrive from the south for four weeks to recover and return to Europe or Asia for an additional nesting period. There are endangered species that assemble in Eilat and the surroundings once a year. Approximately 3-5 million birds glide over Eilat in every migration season.
