Tourism Eilat

The City of Eternal Sun

Eilat is classed as Israel's tourism capital for many reasons. Summer that last nearly all year round, beaches, dive sites, unique landscapes and unique atmosphere. The city has an airport, border crossings, shopping centers and entertainment venues, hospital, and of course is VAT free!!! Just a short flight from Europe, Eilat attracts thousands of holidaymakers every year who seek refuge from the cold European climate to bask in the almost eternal desert sun. For Israelis, it is a great place for a quick getaway from daily routine. Eilat's unique attractions include the Underwater Observatory, located on a coral reef. The oppurtunity for a close glance of marine life found in the Gulf (fish, coral, sharks, dolphins, stingrays and sea turtles). Red Sea Jazz Festival - founded in 1987 and held annually during the last week of August. The festival hosts top international and Israeli contemporary jazz ensembles. Dolphin Reef - a spectacular and unique ecological complex and home to Bottle Nose dolphins that live in their natural habitat.
